Growing Hope: The Anne Frank Sapling Project Expands to 21 Sites with a New Corporate Sponsor

This spring marked an exciting milestone as we launched a new national partnership with Ambius, the leading interior landscaping company in the USA, to help deliver the genetic identicals of Anne Frank’s beloved chestnut tree. In May, Ambius crews transported saplings from the Vallonia Tree Seedling Nursery in Indiana to four new sites:

  • Stockton University (NJ)
  • Seton Hill University (PA)
  • Fairmont Jr./Sr. High School (MN)
  • Carla Peperzak Middle School (WA)

One of the most inspiring champions of this effort was 11-year-old Natalie Flaherty, who spearheaded the planting at her Minnesota school. Her “I Stand With Anne” bracelet initiative—which has now reached supporters around the globe—demonstrates the power of one young person to ignite hope. “I hope this tree will be a symbol of hope and inclusion and standing up against hate,” she shared at the dedication.
