Since joining Anne Frank Center USA earlier this year, Katie Meade has been helping expand the reach and impact of our educational programs, bringing Anne Frank’s story to students, educators, and communities across the country.
As Education Specialist, Katie works closely with schools, educators, and community partners to develop meaningful learning experiences that encourage empathy, critical thinking, and civic engagement. Her work supports AFC USA’s mission to use Anne Frank’s life and legacy as a catalyst for confronting prejudice and inspiring action.
Katie brings extensive experience in education, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership. Before joining AFC USA, she held leadership roles at institutions, including: the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, the New York Historical Society, the Children’s Museum of the Arts, and the Watermill Center. Throughout her career, she has focused on creating programs and partnerships that connect people to history in meaningful and accessible ways.

In her first few months with AFC USA, Katie has already presented at the Teaching the Holocaust Conference, in Birmingham, Alabama, on the topic of arts integration in the classroom via the story of Anne Frank. Her work strengthens relationships with schools and partners, and with our team, reimagines and elevates our educational programs to ensure our continued growth nationwide.
